Plastic pollution in the ocean is a very big problem all across the world. In 1 year we send over 12 million metric tons of plastic into the ocean. Once the plastic breaks down it can find its way into fish habitats and birds stomaches. It causes habitats to be destroyed and animals to die. One of the best ways to reduce the amount that goes into the ocean is recycle. You can recycle your used plastic and there are companies that can turn it into something else. A company called Quantafuel started taking this action. The company chemically recycles mixed plastic waste, transforming it into a raw material for new plastic products. In addition to removing plastic waste from the environment, Quantafuel's process reduces other forms of pollution from incineration and landfills, reduces energy consumption, and promotes the circular economy of plastics.

    Good post, I didn't realize that we put that much plastic in the ocean. I think this is another topic that most people know about, but never really understand the severity of it. I have heard of Quantafuel before. I like that they are doing what they can to find a solution, and I hope that more companies start doing that.

    This is a good post, it explains every reason why we should help out the community in stopping pollution overall. Many people need to know that the when you don’t recycle it kills us. Many companies in America uses these plastics to make something out of them so we can stop polluting. But overall this was good information to know!

    Great job! I didn't realize that there was that much plastic in the ocean. I have been to beaches where the beach and ocean were badly polluted. This makes me realize that we as a society tend to use a lot of plastic and don't properly throw it away or recycle it which is really sad.

    This was a really good posting! More people need to be aware of pollution and recycle. Small actions like recycling can really help the environment and the planet. It's crazy to think that we are destroying the animals habitats with pollution

              As well as a lot of other people, I enjoy a nice relaxing day on the water. Some people decide to take a weeks worth of days on the water. Including a boat, food, and entertainment.   The worlds ocean fish stock is on the verge of collapsing. T he  International Union for Conservation of Nature , Jared Ferrie reports that the oceans have absorbed more than 93 percent of the heat generated by human activity since the 1970s, primarily through its large surface area, volume, and low albedo. Last year, the ocean was its warmest in 136 years of records. The increase in temperature has led to new toxic organisms and algae bloom that poison fish. Many specials are leaving their natural habitats in search of cooler areas. Since fish are leaving their natural habitat it causes a lot of problems for the fish in the habitat they move to. Food starts to dwindle down quicker that it should and the people that eat fish can search for fish in that area but cast find any if the fish leave.
