Water Contamination Due to Farm Runoff!

https://civileats.com/2018/05/08/farm-runoff-in-us-waters-has-hit-crisis-levels-are-farmers-ready-to-change/

Runoff from farms is super detrimental to our bodies of water. How this occurs is when it rains or the farm floods, the water carries phosphorus, nitrogen, and other contaminants with it due to pesticides and fertilizers.  This is dangerous to the ecosystems in the water, as well as people who get in the water near this area. As you see in the picture above, the murky water contains all of those nasty chemicals in it as it flows from the farm.

While this may only occur near bodies of water, it’s still dangerous to the reproduction of animals         And to humans who may benefit from the animals as well. This needs to be addressed more, as this is the first time I’ve heard of it, but it’s actually a very common issue within agriculture.

  1. Thats crazy to see, the waters really seem so nasty. It unbelievable that this is all our fault to be honest, human activity is destroying the ecosystem.

  2. Who would have thought that us just trying to make sure our food is safe and that other animals won’t eat it is causing our water to become polluted.
