Famished man, water, and livestock_TrevorGoodman

In California farmers are struggling to keep afloat, especially when there no water to float on. Governor Gavin Newson in the state of California has put high taxes on water along with the use of it. This is a ongoing problem for livestock farmers Such as Craig Gordon (shown above). He says that with the taxes and COVID-19 shut downs, sales have been cut tremendously and smaller farmers are forced to sell cattle and close business. He faces the same risk as well when quoting that he loses “roughly 15,000 dollars a day.” This loss is a lot for anyone, so the question is what can we do about it?

  1. Interesting. Where does this info come from? How severe is the water shortage?

  2. How are other farmers dealing with this problem? Why is Craig Gordon shown as the example for this, is he feeling the most impact of the water shortage? Are all farmers in California losing tremendous amounts of money like Craig is experiencing?
